numb mind floating backwards
weary thoughts fading
empty profoundly perfectly still
water-walled echoes
striking back
black-ribboned eyes hiding
inward leaden looks
enticingly sagacious
sinking sipping
black heart s coffee
stagnation melting into
vacuum dust-coloured tissue
hearken to the young dead s panting
dripping like mercury
bitter
